Hathor - The goddess of love and joy is often depicted as a woman with cow horns and sun disk, or as a cow with sun disk. 

Hathor was a sky goddess in Egyptian mythology and goddess of love, peace, beauty, dance, art and music. She was considered the protector of the land on the Nile, the strangers and all female beings. She was the wife of Horus. 

Her name means "House of Hor" and she is the oldest of the Egyptian goddesses, who was worshipped as a cow already around 2700 BC and who later ceded some of her symbols and functions to the younger Isis. Her symbolic animal was the cow, as which she was often depicted, but she was also depicted as lion-headed, since in a myth she originated from Sachmet. 

The most common images show her as a young woman with horns between which stands the sun disk. It was believed that the sky was a cow, whose milk was the stars, and she was considered the bearer of the universe and the mother and daughter of the sun. In Greek mythology, Aphrodite was the counterpart of Hathor.
